With the triumph, Latta improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Panthers host Stratford (Stratford, OK) to face the Bulldogs in a 2A bout on Thursday, September 4. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Diggers face the Perry Maroons (Perry, OK) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 4. Wilburton will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Maroons enter the contest with a 8-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, OK).
