In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Alta-Aurelia Warriors volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Newell-Fonda Mustangs.

The Warriors (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA). The Rebels come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Sioux Central edged Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Mustangs face the Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 4. Newell-Fonda will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the game with a 6-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA).
