Huntingdon Bearcats (Huntingdon, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellwood-Antis (Bellwood, PA). The Blue Devils come into the Laurel Highlands 1 test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Bellwood-Antis was defeated by Richland (Johnstown, PA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Lions now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bellefonte for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Chestnut Ridge will face a Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Somerset (Somerset, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-3.
