Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL) and the visiting Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), observed El Paso-Gridley's volleyball team top Clinton by a count of 2-0.

The Titans (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Falcons go into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley achieved victory over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Maroons now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olympia for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. Clinton will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Eureka (Eureka, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 3-3.
