Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Lackawanna Trail Lions (Factoryville, PA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA). The come into the Wyoming Valley challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, MMI Preparatory School beat Mid Valley (Throop, PA), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Lions now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Susquehanna for a Lackawanna test on Thursday, September 4. Lackawanna Trail will face a Sabers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA). The Sabers record now stands at 2-2.
