California High School Volleyball - San Lorenzo Valley overwhelmed by Pioneer

September 2, 2025: San Jose, CA 95118

Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the visiting San Lorenzo Valley Cougars (Felton, CA), 3-0 in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Notre Dame for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4. Pioneer will play a Regents team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Castilleja (Palo Alto, CA). The Regents record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, San Lorenzo Valley drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Soquel (Soquel, CA) to play the Knights in a Santa Cruz Coast outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Knights go into the game with a record of 1-2. Soquel lost 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA)
