Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) and the host Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX), observed Port Neches-Groves's volleyball team top Vidor by a tally of 3-0.

The Indians (18-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 22-8 record. In their last test, Bridge City achieved victory over Nederland (Nederland, TX), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buna for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Vidor will face a Cougars squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 8-11.
