Taylor County Cardinals (Campbellsville, KY) boosters were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Indians come into the District 20 challenge with a 11-1 record. In their last challenge, Adair County beat Marion County (Lebanon, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lakers meet the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) in a District 16 challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Russell County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
