The Vancleave Bulldogs topped the host Wayne County War Eagles volleyball team by a margin of 3-0 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to East Central for a Class 5A Region 4 outing on Thursday, September 4. Vancleave will play a Hornets team coming off a 3-0 league win over Stone (Wiggins, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Wayne County drops to 4-7 on the campaign. The War eagles host Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to confront the Tigers in a Class 5A Region 4 game on Thursday, September 4. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 7-5. Northeast Jones lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Purvis (Purvis, MS)
