In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Armstrong River Hawks soccer squad scored a close 7-0 win over the Carrick Raiders.
The River Hawks (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA). The Trojans go into the WPIAL AAA 1 battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, North Catholic was overwhelmed by Hampton (Allison Park, PA), 3-2, in a league battle.
The Raiders (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Brashear (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulls go into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record.

Armstrong Boys Soccer has finally gotten into the win column. After some tough heartbreaking losses, our 'Hawks best the Carrick Raiders 7-0. The scoring started with Aidan McCay hitting on a beautiful header from a throw-in by Dante Magagnotti. Leading the scoring was Max Formaini with two goals and an assist. Seniors Dante Magagnotti and Nolan Heilman notched their first variety goals of their careers. Alec Formaini and Brendan Savinda also chipped in goals. Assists were provided by Dante Magagnotti, Jordan Callipare, Hunter Reed, Nolan Heilman, Caden Smail, Aidan McCay, Landyn Johnson, and Justin Davis. Caden Smail earned the victory, with Brendan Savinda and Nino Magagnotti providing some relief in net and gaining valuable experience.
