In Tuesday's league battle, the host South Laurel Cardinals soccer squad scored a close 3-1 win over the Whitley County Colonels.
The Cardinals (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY). The Maroons go into the non-league battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Pulaski County nipped Southwestern (Somerset, KY), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
