The Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) volleyball overcame the host Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL), 2-0 in Wednesday's league outing.

With the win, Mercer County upgrades its record to 6-10 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Knoxville (Knoxville, IL) to play the Blue Bullets in a Lincoln Trail outing on Monday, September 25. The Blue Bullets go into the outing with a record of 12-5. Knoxville lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL)

The Wildcats now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Princeville for a Lincoln Trail outing on Monday, September 25. Galva will play a Princes squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Princes record now stands at 11-11.
