The Piedmont Highlanders volleyball team (Piedmont, CA), went down 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Head-Royce Jayhawks (Oakland, CA)

The Jayhawks (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bentley (Lafayette, CA). The Phoenix come into the Bay Counties - East challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Bentley went down by St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders encounter the San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge, on Friday, September 22. Piedmont will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Berkeley (Berkeley, CA).
