The Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) football were winner over the visiting Suwannee Bulldogs (Live Oak, FL), 35-16 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Pirates now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Fitzgerald for a non-league outing on Friday, September 27. Appling County will clash with a Purple Hurricane squad coming off a 28-21 league win over Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Purple Hurricane record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Suwannee drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Wakulla (Crawfordville, FL) to clash with the War Eagles in a 3A District 2 outing on Friday, September 27. The War Eagles come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Wakulla won 52-0 in their recent non-league outing against FAMU DRS (Tallahassee, FL)
