The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights felled the host Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm football team by a score of 38-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights play the Cumberland Pirates (Toledo, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie challenge, on Friday, September 27. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 20-0 league win over Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL).

The Storm (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Bombers go into the Lincoln Prairie challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Argenta-Oreana was dropped by Sullivan-Okaw Valley/Bethany (Sullivan, IL), 44-0, in a league bout.
