The Burlington Grayhounds were victorious over the visiting Mt. Pleasant Panthers football team by a score of 42-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Grayhounds face the North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Friday, September 27. Burlington will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 21-7 non-league loss to Western Dubuque (Epworth, IA).

The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA). The Mustangs enter the 3A District 4 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Vernon lost by Solon (Solon, IA), 7-6, in a non-league challenge.
