In their next game, the Lions face the La Salle College Explorers (Wyndmoor, PA) in a Philadelphia Catholic - Red challenge, on Friday, September 27. Cardinal O'Hara will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Explorers enter the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 48-3 non-league win over Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA).

The (10-40) will now prepare for their challenge against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Hickory Christian Academy was ripped by Varsity Opponent (, ), 24-13, in a non-league challenge.
