Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Vina Red Devils (Vina, AL), 48-8 in a league battle.

With the win, Cherokee improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Indians travel to Belgreen (Russellville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Belgreen lost 47-13 in their recent non-league battle against Tanner (Tanner, AL)

The Red Devils now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Tharptown for a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. Vina will play a Wildcats team coming off a 68-0 league loss to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (Decatur, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-4.
