The Church Point Bears football squad scored 34 points and limited the visiting Rayne Wolves to 27 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mamou for a 3A District 4 test on Friday, September 27. Church Point will clash with a Demons squad coming off a 42-0 non-league loss to Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Demons record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Rayne drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wolves host Comeaux (Lafayette, LA) to clash with the Spartans in a 4A District 4 test on Friday, September 27. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-4. Comeaux lost 48-23 in their recent non-league test against New Iberia (New Iberia, LA)
