The Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers football squad scored 50 points and limited the visiting Gateway Christian Warriors to 48 in the SonBlazers league triumph on Friday.
The SonBlazers now hold a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Melrose for a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 27. Mesilla Valley Christian School will meet a Buffaloes squad coming off a 52-0 non-league win over Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Buffaloes record now stands at 5-0.
With the defeat, Gateway Christian drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM) to meet the Chiefs in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 27. The Chiefs come into the test with a record of 2-2. Mescalero Apache won 44-8 in their recent league test against Hagerman/Lake Arthur (Hagerman, NM)
