The Newell-Fonda Mustangs football squad scored 53 points and limited the visiting Harris-Lake Park Wolves to 12 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary's for a 8-Man District 1 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 27. Newell-Fonda will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 44-12 league win over Boyer Valley (Dunlap, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 4-0.

With the defeat, Harris-Lake Park drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wolves host West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA) to meet the Wolverines in a 8-Man District 2 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 27. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 1-3. West Bend-Mallard lost 62-12 in their recent league match against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA)
