California High School Football - Porterville holds off Highland

The Porterville Panthers (Porterville, CA) football tipped the host Highland Scots (Bakersfield, CA), 28-21 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Panthers now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Exeter for a non-league outing on Friday, September 27. Porterville will clash with a Monarchs squad coming off a 34-14 non-league win over Strathmore (Strathmore, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Highland drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Scots host Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA) to clash with the Drillers in a Southwest Yosemite - Valley outing on Friday, October 4. The Drillers come into the outing with a record of 5-0. Bakersfield won 52-17 in their recent non-league outing against North (Bakersfield, CA)
