In Friday's league game, the Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) football team were victorious over the host Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ), by a score of 28-10.

In their next game, the Comets face the Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 28. Hillside will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Pioneers enter the game with a 4-0 record after their 32-16 league win over Rahway (Rahway, NJ).
