Minnesota High School Football - Mabel-Canton sneaks past Southland

September 20, 2024: Mabel, MN 55954

In Friday's league match, the host Mabel-Canton Cougars football squad scored a close 34-32 triumph over the Southland Rebels.

The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Kingsland (Spring Valley, MN). The Knights come into the District 9 South - East (9 Man) match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Kingsland tipped Alden-Conger (Alden, MN), 53-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Rebels meet the Lanesboro Burros (Lanesboro, MN) in a District 9 South - East (9 Man) match, on Friday, September 27. Southland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Burros come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 42-6 league loss to Spring Grove (Spring Grove, MN).
