The MacArthur Generals football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting New Hyde Park Memorial Gladiators to 28 in the Generals league triumph on Friday.

The Generals now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Roosevelt for a Section 8 Conference II test on Saturday, September 28. MacArthur will meet a Roughriders squad coming off a 28-6 league win over Sewanhaka (Floral Park, NY). The Roughriders record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, New Hyde Park Memorial drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Glen Cove (Glen Cove, NY) to meet the Big Red in a Section 8 Conference II test on Saturday, September 28. The Big Red come into the test with a record of 1-1. Glen Cove won 40-20 in their recent league test against Baldwin (Baldwin, NY)
