In Friday's league match, the host Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons football squad scored a decisive 52-14 triumph over the Marshall County Marshals.

The Maroons (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Graves County (Mayfield, KY). The Eagles come into the 5A District 1 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Graves County was routed by Owensboro (Owensboro, KY), 42-7, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Marshals confront the Muhlenberg County Mustangs (Greenville, KY) in a 5A District 1 match, on Friday, September 27. Marshall County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 41-0 league loss to Apollo (Owensboro, KY).
