The Sequoyah Eagles football squad scored 61 points and limited the host Mannford Pirates to 22 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vinita for a 3A District 4 test on Friday, September 27. Sequoyah will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 41-0 non-league loss to Miami (Miami, OK). The Hornets record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Mannford drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to McLoud (McLoud, OK) to clash with the Redskins in a 3A District 2 test on Friday, September 27. The Redskins come into the test with a record of 1-2. McLoud lost 35-34 in their recent non-league test against Tecumseh (Tecumseh, OK)
