Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting New London Whalers (New London, CT), 42-28 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Windham improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Whippets host Griswold (Griswold, CT) to play the Wolverines in a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. The Wolverines go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Griswold won 42-19 in their recent non-league battle against Montville (Oakdale, CT)
The Whalers now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Thames River co-op [Norwich RVT/Grasso RVT/St. Bernard] for a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. New London will play a Crusaders team coming off a 39-14 league loss to Northwest United co-op [Wolcott RVT/Lakeview/Shepaug Valley/Nonnewaug] (Torrington, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.
