The Rootstown Rovers felled the visiting North Vikings football team by a score of 34-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Rovers play the Aquinas Knights (Louisville, OH) in a Portage Trail challenge, on Friday, September 27. Rootstown will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 16-7 non-league loss to Minerva (Minerva, OH).
The Vikings (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Garfield (Akron, OH). The Rams go into the Akron City challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Garfield was dropped by Carrollton (Carrollton, OH), 10-7, in a non-league challenge.
