In Friday's league match, the host Northwest Webster Cougars football squad scored a good 28-7 triumph over the Pocahontas Indians.
The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Eagles come into the 1A District 2 match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Eagle Grove was beaten by Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA), 37-8, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Indians confront the East Sac County Raiders (Lake View, IA) in a 1A District 2 match, on Friday, September 27. Pocahontas will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 42-6 league loss to Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA).
