The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Pike Road Patriots (Pike Road, AL) and the visiting Percy Julian Phoenix (Montgomery, AL), witnessed Pike Road's football squad edge Percy Julian by a count of 39-35.

The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Opelika (Opelika, AL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Opelika held off Smiths Station (Smiths, AL), 50-0, in a league game.

The Phoenix (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Rehobeth (Dothan, AL). The Rebels enter the 6A Region 2 game with a 2-2 record.
