The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Sussex County Tech (Sparta, NJ) and the visiting Wallkill Valley Rangers (Hamburg, NJ), witnessed Sussex County Tech's football squad edge Wallkill Valley by a count of 36-33.

The (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hopatcong (Hopatcong, NJ). The Chiefs enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Hopatcong was nudged by Boonton (Boonton, NJ), 42-12, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Rangers confront the Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 28. Wallkill Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 42-6 non-league win over North Warren Regional (Blairstown, NJ).
