The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Cassville Wildcats (Cassville, MO) and the visiting Branson Pirates (Branson, MO), observed Cassville's softball team get by Branson by a tally of 7-1.

The Wildcats (8-7) will now prepare for their bout against Aurora (Aurora, MO). The Houn Dawgs go into the Class 3 District 12 bout with a 1-12 record. In their last bout, Aurora was routed by Glendale (Springfield, MO), 9-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Glendale Falcons (Springfield, MO) in a Class 4 District 11 bout, on Saturday, September 21. Branson will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Lee's Summit (Lee's Summit, MO).
