The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) and the visiting Marian Crusaders (Omaha, NE), observed Gretna's softball team get by Marian by a tally of 13-7.

The Dragons (26-0) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 12-7 record. In their last bout, Lincoln East tipped Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE), 11-8, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 20. Marian will attempt to advance on its 5-14 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 9-6 league win over Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE).
