Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) and the host Crittenden County Rockets (Marion, KY), observed Sayre's volleyball team top Crittenden County by a tally of 2-0.

The Spartans (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Raceland (Raceland, KY). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Raceland beat Rose Hill Christian (Ashland, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Rockets meet the Trigg County Wildcats (Cadiz, KY) in a District 5 contest, on Tuesday, September 24. Crittenden County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 1-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to St. Mary (Paducah, KY).
