Arizona High School Volleyball - Mesquite over Payson

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ) and the host Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ), observed Mesquite's volleyball team top Payson by a tally of 2-0.

The Wildcats (10-1) will now prepare for their contest against Round Valley (Eagar, AZ). The Elks enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Round Valley was beaten by Mogollon (Heber, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Longhorns meet the St. Johns Redskins (St. Johns, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 20. Payson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Redskins enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Mogollon (Heber, AZ).
