Illinois High School Volleyball - Shepard over Riverside-Brookfield

The Shepard Astros volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs to 0 in the Astros non-league triumph on Friday.

The Astros now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Thornton Fractional South for a South Suburban outing on Monday, September 23. Shepard will play a Red Wolves team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL). The Red Wolves record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Riverside-Brookfield drops to 11-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to St. Laurence (Burbank, IL) to play the Vikings in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 21. The Vikings come into the outing with a record of 11-4. St. Laurence won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Hinsdale South (Darien, IL)
