The Gilmer Bobcats football team (Ellijay, GA), dropped 42-28 in Saturday's league bout with the visiting Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA)

With the win, Northwest Whitfield betters its record to 4-1 on the year. The Bruins host Heritage (Ringgold, GA) to confront the Generals in a AAA Region 7 contest on Friday, September 26. The Generals enter the contest with a record of 4-1. Heritage won 30-7 in their recent league contest against Ridgeland (Rossville, GA)

Next up, the Bobcats encounter the Heritage Generals (Ringgold, GA) in a AAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, October 3. Gilmer will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record.
