    The Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) football tipped the visiting Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ), 17-12 in Saturday's league outing.

    The Comets now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Somerville for a non-league outing on Friday, September 26. Hillside will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 20-7 league win over Rahway (Rahway, NJ). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-1.

    With the defeat, Scotch Plains-Fanwood drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Carteret (Carteret, NJ) to clash with the Ramblers in a Big Central - United Gold outing on Friday, September 26. The Ramblers come into the outing with a record of 1-2. Carteret lost 21-0 in their recent league outing against Summit (Summit, NJ)
