The Longmeadow Lancers edged the host St. John's Prep Eagles soccer team by a margin of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Lancers now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Amherst-Pelham Regional for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 22. Longmeadow will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Minnechaug Regional (Wilbraham, MA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, St. John's Prep drops to 4-1 on the season. The Eagles host Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA) to face the Knights in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 2. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 1-1.
