Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) and the visiting College Park Falcons (Pleasant Hill, CA), observed Alameda's volleyball team hold off College Park by a count of 2-1.

The Hornets (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Dragons go into the battle with a 1-1 record.

The Falcons now own a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. College Park will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Granada (Livermore, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.
