In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Plainfield Quakers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Columbus East Olympians.

The Quakers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenwood (Greenwood, IN). The Woodmen enter the non-league challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, Greenwood was edged by Plainfield (Plainfield, IN), 2-1, in a league test.

The Olympians now own a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whiteland for a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. Columbus East will face a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Decatur Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
