In Saturday's non-league contest, the Minford Falcons (Minford, OH) soccer team nipped the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), by a margin of 2-1.
The Falcons now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to South Webster for a Southern Ohio II challenge on Tuesday, September 23. Minford will encounter a Jeeps squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, OH). The Jeeps record now stands at 10-0.
With the loss, Boyd County moves to 7-4 on the season. The Lions host Russell (Russell, KY) to battle the Red Devils in a District 63 battle on Thursday, September 25. The Red Devils enter the battle with a record of 9-5.
