The Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Fountain Valley Danes (Colorado Springs, CO), 7-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Spartans now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Gunnison for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 23. Salida will encounter a Cowboys squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-3.
The Danes (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, St. Mary's was overwhelmed by Front Range Christian (Littleton, CO), 5-1, in a non-league challenge.
