Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) fans were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL), 5-0 in a non-league bout.

The Midgets now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Breese Central for a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) bout on Monday, September 22. Freeburg will play a Cougars team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Centralia (Centralia, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 3-5.

The Warriors (1-9) will now prepare for their game against Fort Zumwalt West (O'Fallon, MO). The Jaguars come into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Fort Zumwalt West was overwhelmed by Ladue Horton Watkins (St. Louis, MO), 4-2, in a non-league game.
