In Saturday's non-league contest, the Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) soccer team edged the host Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), by a final score of 1-0.
With the triumph, Gadsden moves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM) to meet the Knights in a 5A District 3 match on Tuesday, September 23. The Knights come into the match with a record of 7-3. Organ Mountain won 4-0 in their recent non-league match against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM)
The Warriors now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hatch Valley for a A/3A District 3/4 match on Thursday, September 25. Ruidoso will meet a Bears team coming off a 9-0 league win over Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM). The Bears record now stands at 5-7.
