The Hickory Hornets soccer squad (Hermitage, PA), was overwhelmed 7-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA)
The Lancers (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Sharpsville tipped Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA), 11-2, in a league match.
The Hornets now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Greenville for a District 10 Region 2 match on Monday, September 22. Hickory will meet a Trojans team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-6.
