Next, the Wildcats face the Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL) in a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Salem will attempt to advance on its 11-1 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 10-4 record after their 12-0 league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL).

The Patriots (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Marion (Marion, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Marion was overwhelmed by Richland County (Olney, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
