North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA), 2-0 in a non-league outing.

The Spartans (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Williams Valley (Tower City, PA). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 2-10 record. In their last outing, Williams Valley by Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA), 9-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Indians play the Muncy Indians (Muncy, PA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 22. Shamokin Area will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Indians go into the outing with a 3-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to North Penn-Liberty (Liberty, PA).
