Nebraska High School Softball - Douglas County West held off by Freeman

September 20, 2025: Valley, NE 68064

In Saturday's non-league test, the Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE) softball squad got by the host Douglas County West Falcon (Valley, NE), by a tally of 5-4.

Next, the Falcons clash with the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders (Grand Island, NE) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 23. Freeman will attempt to advance on its 15-10 season record. The Crusaders enter the contest with a 9-9 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Twin River (Genoa, NE).

The Falcon now hold a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Gretna East for a non-league contest on Monday, September 22. Douglas County West will face a Griffins squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Platte County (Platte City, MO). The Griffins record now stands at 14-9.
